Today Bedford High School has one of the most modern physical education programs in Pennsyl- vania. We should be very proud of our facilities and take the best care of our equipment possible. Bedford High School also has some very fine instructorsg they try to give the students training in ac- tivities, not only enjoyable to the students, but helpful to them. A few of the vast number of things that our physical education program teaches us to do are: the proper way to fall, safety comes PHYSICAL EDUCATICN JOAN BAKER ARTHUR GRIMM -30- first even at play, and self pro- tection. Our physical education pro- gram also offers us fine show- ers and large lockers with ade- quate space for our clothing storage without wrinkling. Remember that our physical education facilities are new. Let's keep them that way for future students of Bedford High School. ARTHUR GRIMM earned his B. S. degree from Lock Haven Teachers College in 1955 and came to B. H. S. the same fall where he teaches Phys- ical Education and Geography. He also is assistant football coach. MRS. JOAN BAKER teaches health and physical educationg she has a Bachelor of Science degree from West- chester State Teachers' College: before coming to B. H. S., she taught at Allegheny High School and Stony- creekg she came to B. H. S. in the fall of 1956.
