ROBERT A BOWSER MARTIN D GA-1-E5 JOHN WALTMAN FRED N RADLE teaches Civics and Journalism and IS Director of the Student Council He holds two degrees from Bucknell University -A. B. earned in 1949 and M. A. earned in 1950. He holds member- ship in Tau Kappa Epsilon and Kappa Phi Fraternities. He came to B. H. S. in the fall of 1949. NED O. WHETSTONE teaches Problems of Democracy and other Social Studies. He holds a Bache- lor of Arts degree from Gettys- burg Collegeg he came to B. H. S. in the fall of 1942. Qi Q---if MRS JOHN PHILLIPS ROBERT A BOWSER teaches social studies came to B H S in 1956 from Chestnut Ridge received his Bachelor of Science de gree from Lock Haven State Teachers Col lege lfl 1953 MARTIN GATES earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Shlppensburg in 1947 came to B H S in the fall of 1956 where he teaches social studies and math JOHN WALTMAN received his Bachelor of Science degree from Slippery Rock State Teachers College in 1955 and came to B H S 1n 1956 he instructs seventh grade classes ln geography history and English his home town is Hyndman Pa MRS BEULAH PHILLIPS earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Delaware in 1922 she came to B H S in the fall of 1956 to teach English history and geography before coming to Bedford she taught in Wilmington Delaware she has also done graduate work at Cornell University and at the University of Penn Sylvania SOCIAL STUDIES FRED N. Ed. degree from the University of Pittsburghg the has also taken courses from Juniata College and Penn Staley He has been with B. H. S. since the fall of 1942. MATH JOHN HEACOCK earned his B. S. degree from Lock Haven Teachers' College in 1952. Alter U. S. Army service and one year teaching. he came to B. H. S. in the fall of 1955 where he teaches advanced mathematics and assists in coaching the wrestling teams. DONALD KOONTZ came to B. H. S, in the fall of 1956: he instructs math classes: in 1954 he received his Bachelor of Science degree from Juniatag before coming here. he taught at Susquenita Joint Schools. A good foundation in math from the tirst tunda mentals to the advanced branches is very essential to every student in B H S -s
