His court convened at Bedford High almost exclusively this year beneath a star studded sky, Underthe brilliant white of the new lights His Majesty sat enthroned, weighing the pros and cons, and in most cases deciding against our team, In the opening game the Bisons were forced to bow to a far superior old rival, Shade Township, by score of 34-0. On the following Friday Bedford fans groaned in anguish when one of the greenest teams ever to appear on a field was defeated for the first time in history by Clays- burg, Score 18-Ol Then came the hurricane fa plucky blue and white team was crushed, 44-0, by the foes from Somerset, Saturday afternoon, Wh th r k? Mr. Hubicsak has for thirteen years through good seasons and bad coached our football teams. October 4, Bedford played host to Meyersdale, the only day game of the season at home, and were licked 13-0. At this point Coach Hubic- sak's boys perked up and played the kind of football fans dream about. They journeyed to Roaring Spring and Won a sparkling 6-0 battle. Midseason, and the splendid fighting spirit of the team became ap- parent They surprised a very strong Hollidaysburg club by holding them to a 7-0 score, Saturday, October 25, loyal fans traveled to Bell- wood in freezing Weather to see Bedford lose 18-0. But on October 30, the stampeding Bisons trampled their traditional rivals, Saxton, 18-6! Team and students celebrated next day with a snake dance through the streets and no school!
