Although adopted during the 1958-1959 school year, members of the 1959-60 Senior Class were honored with the privilege of being the first group to wear the rings. The new ring is emblazed with a Bearcat on one side, and a patriotic mixture of the Alamo, the Texas Flag, the American Flag, some Bluebonnets, and the State Seal on the opposite side.
