HALL Mr. Hall is one of our new teachers this year. Previous to his connection with Beckley College, he taught at Mercersburg Academy, one of the finest preparatory schools in America. The past several years he had been very active as a registrar. Thus he comes to Beckley College with a fine experience in teaching which enables him to teach effectively. I. K. ROBB A person can be of a quiet nature and still make a name for himself. So it is with Dr. Robb. He is very quiet, but when you become acquainted with him, you just have to like him. Dr. Robb is affiliated with the Registration Department of the College. He is a graduate of Gettysburg College and formerly he taught at Irving College. We wish him our best. CHARLES GRUBER This is the first year that we have had the privilege of sitting under the scrutiny of Mr. Gruber. He expresses his sound, basic principles with a forcefulness that drives them home. Before coming to Beckley, he was an instructor at Gettysburg College. At the present time he is teaching Mathematics, Physics, Surveying, and Economics. He and the Encgineering students have some good old times on their field trips. He is an all-roun fellow and appreciated accordingly. GEORGE GARRY DERR When it is selling, this man can do it. When it is teaching, he is there with a bang. Mr. Derr is one of the new teachers in Beckley, but at the rate he is going he won't be new long. He is a graduate of Bloomsburg State Normal and of Gettys- burg College. After teaching a few years in jersey Shore, he entered the selling game with the Equitable Life Insurance Company and made a great success. ,..a-.,-...,...,..--. .,.. .. ti.. . .L .... 35 Qin lfglll ll !'f.lKl, l Q1f la V' gEr'i : If I r , Q

3'6- bf MR. SNELL MR. HOTH MR. ADAMS MR. CARPENTER ', ,H- Af Qfkb GEORGE A. SNELL Whoopie, the Coach is going to give a Dog Eat Dog lecture! The student body always enjoys Coach Snell's talks in Assembly on real football. He talks with the forcefulness of a politician and the culture of a district attorney. The Coach hails from Penn State and it is rumored that he played some football while a student there. He has a most extraordinary personality that attracts the attention of everyone. F. MILTON HOTH Mr. Hoth is one of the new teachers who became connected with the faculty of Beckley College the second semester. He is one of those quiet-appearing men, but when you get to know him you find that he is quite witty and in for a good time. He teaches English to the Juniors, and we hear that he knows his English. Mr. Hoth is a graduate of Lafayette. A R. K. ADAMS This is the first year that Mr. Adams has been with us. He is always in a rush, looking for jobs and students to go with them. Yes, of course, he helps the Placement Bureau. Mr. Adams is a very able assistant and is liked by everyone. J. T. CARPENTER Mr. Carpenter's work is that of interviewing prospective students. Jack is a vet? energetic fellow and is always bubbling over with enthusiasm. The student bo y regrets that his work requires his being out of town most of the time, for we would all like to know him better. .QI Ig..

4 H' 1 ff' 'v MR. PEPPERMAN MR. DYWER MRS. ISENBERG MRS. HERTHA TROUTMAN MR. PEPPERMAN Our Sunshine in Bookkeeping Class. Never tiring in his efforts to help us and always ready with his favorite words of praise Recited like an old veteran. His untiring efforts made him one ofthe most popular teachers among those students who came in contact with him. MR. DYWER The Registrar of Beckley College. He appears very dignified and distant, but after you know him you find that hedpossesses a great sense of humor and is quite a joker. Although he spends a great eal of his time away from the College, he is well known and liked by the student body. MRS. ISENBERG Mrs. Isenberg is one of the Matrons of the Girls' Dormitories, and she is always ready to help any of the girls, in sickness or with advice. She is not well acquainted with some of the boys but those who do know her think a great deal of her. Those who don't, have missed something. MRS. BERTHA TROUTMAN Every girl in the Dormitory knows Mrs. Troutman. She is probably not known so well to the boys, but allow us to introduce her as one of our Matrons. Probably all the young chaps that date Dormitory girls are slightly acquainted with her. I-low about it, fellows? She has a loving disposition and is very much concerned that every girl is treated fairly. ,f 1. M rx B .. . :,.,:,,. 'ir ' .1., f , -? ,J B RN..
