Activities Distinguish Seniors Copping prizes, honors, and activities, the Class of '53 looks back on a memory-packed year. TYV All-Star football team claimed Bob Lee, Ernie Zwah- len, and Bob Rasmussen. Dick Grant, sharp-shooting bas- ketball forward, placed ninth in TYV scoring. Bob Brooks, wrestling team president, was top individual point-getter in that sport. Senior-sponsored after-game dance, Frosty Frolic, hon- ored Don Peck and Lenny Matson as lack and lill Frost. Vem Litvin Walked off with state honors in the l Speak for Democracy speech contest. Outstanding speech student, Diane Schendel, set an un- precedented BHS record with the accumulation of 365 fo- rensic points. Kay Badger tugged home a trophy and second place Win from the Willamette Valley Twirling contest. Trophy holders, Barbara Ewer and Ron Reed, received first places at the Linfield Speech Tournament.
