THEY LEAD . I. R. METZLER. SUPERINTENDENT As vital to the operation of the school as the chief mechanic to the buses is l, R. lfetzler, superinten- dent of the high school. The steady influx of fami- lies into the Beaverton area has brought an acute need for expansion which will be accomplished in an eventual building pro- gram. Mr. Metzler is to be riighly complimented for having kept the present :hassis not only intact, but in good running order un- der the strain of the pres- ent overload. THE SCHOOL BOARD Purchasing new buses for a complete transporta- tion system, planning a new school building and managing the affairs of a union district which is still less than two years old were major problems con- fronting the school board this year. Mr. W. D, Cameron, chairman, was assisted by Mr. George Gordon, Mr. Allen Armfield, Mr. L. I, Furlong, Mr. Ross Hart and Mrs. Eugene Duncan, clerk. The students and faculty are greatly indebted to these busy men who give of their time so generously that Beaverton High School may be kept oper- ating smoothly.
