ANNIE HUSERIK Secretary First Semester explains a few fme pomts of wntmg minutes to her successor IEANNE KREMERS Ieanne assumed the duties of president in April when Fred and lack were called into the armed services F1rst Semester B1llDuha1me Walter Payne Anme Husenk Fred Moore I OFFICERS Second Semester Student Council President Fred Moore Student Body President Iaclr Meeke Secretary Ieanne Kremers Treasurer Fred Moore STUDENT COUNCIL Formulatmg the school plans throughout the year the Student Council began by launching a war bond campaign to buy a S35 000 landing craft by December 7 This drive went over the top with an extra S21 000 The second semester activities climaxed with the introduction of the plan for a new recrea- tional center and methods for raising the neces- sary Iunds. Other projects begun and carried through by the student council were: Contributions for Pur- ple Heart boxes, March ol Dimes and War Chest campaigns paper and rag drives, and the re- taining of the Treasury 90? flag.
