F RESHMAN CLASS Although supposedly green and inexperienced upon entering school, the freshmen soon discovered that they were a vital part of the school and as such they eagerly participated in the year's activities. They gave very stiff competition when the service flag was at stake, winning it twice. once for the war chest drive and again for the service boxes. The riot- ous gay nineties assembly program was not only entertaining. but proved the initiative of the neo- phytes as well. In order to earn money for their empty treasury, they sold home-made candy at one of the football games. Another successful project was their campaign for P.T.A. memberships this spring. All first period freshman classes have had the Minute- Man flag for top bond sales at least once. Several of them have earned it two or three times. Freshmen participating at Linfield in debate were Bill Kent and Fred Myers who won second place in the B division Mrs Ann Elliott Mrs Marjorie Whitbeck Mrs Ha el Bergquam and Miss Bernice Conoly were the ad visors First Semester OFFICERS Second Some Denny O Donnell President lick Nulsen Ianet Shofner Albert Walker Bob Massingill Harold Steele Beverly Iacobson Vice President Secretary Treasurer Earl Tanner DENNY ODONNELL Pres lst Sem BOB MASSINGILL Pres 2nd Sem if FRESHMAN CLASS OFFICERS First row Harold Steele Bob Massmgill Bev rly Iackson Ianet Rae Sholner Denny O Don nell Iick Nulsen Second row Paul lacobson lean Turnbull Mary Lou Shannon Pat Griggs LaVerne Straley Third row Phyllis Oldman Charlotte Galloway Albert Walker Earl Tanner Ioann Mueller Keith Bryant 7 ur all Qawww- wt.-un. in . . . , . z I .
