BUILDERS SPEND HOURS ON FLOATS For weeks ideas were hashed and re-hashed as organizations met to de- termine float themes. Competition ran high between classes, but the Junior class’s theme ’’Seal ’Em Up Beavers’’ turned out to be a winner. The hard- workers stuffed napkins, Kleenex, and crepe paper in their sleep for nights afterwards. By evening floats were for- gotten until next Homecoming when new ideas would emerge. Junior class float places first in Homecoming parade.

ACTIVITIES FILL THE DAY on the march. The seventeenth of September was the fall extension of a summer day. Nothing is so fair as a day in Indian Summer. The sun was warm and yet there was a hint of fall in the air. Fans crowded the new stadium to back their team to the first home victory. The day had already been crammed with a pep assembly, a parade, the judging of the floats, the judging of the hall decorations, and a picnic in the park, courtesy of the Key Club. Just before game time a color guard accompanied the presentation of a new flag and pole by the Beaverhead Booster Club. At half time the band and Golden Girls entertained an excited crowd.
