It has been a year of many joys, some frustration and much learning. In looking back it was the undra- matic things in our friendships that were so imponant. It was the exchange of ideas, the participation in activities, and the learning shared by all of us that make us spe- cial to each other. With this acknowledgement in mind, we want to wish our classmates the best of luck, to our teachers we extend our thanks and to our parents we give our love.” CLcL c xi 3 84th Annual B.C.H.S. Commencement, June 2,1975 3 So Long. . . Mr. B. W. Bun” Lodge was born of homestead- ing parents in Iowa. He grew up on a farm in Stur- gis, South Dakota, and attended grade school and high school there. His father trained him to be a master bricklayer, a vocation he enjoys to this day. After graduating from high school at the age of six- teen, he attended Black Hills State at Spearfish, South Dakota, and Chadron State at Chadron, Nebraska. He later received a Master’s Degree from Western Montana College. He is the nicest sports nut we know. As a young man, he played organized baseball in the summers. Mr. Lodge coached high school athletics for a time before coming to Dillon in 1955. He coached three winning seasons in foot- ball. In 1958 he became the principal and asked to be retired from this position in 19 70. He has fin- ished his teaching years in the social studies depart- ment. Here is a man who has been, and will con- tinue to be, a real friend to boys and girls. We see his retirement days filled with his family, his wide interest in sports, the continuation of his fine game of golf, and perhaps a little bricklaying. Mr. Lodge put on his happy face each morning, and we are all going to miss seeing it around. Mrs. Evelyn Stauffer was born on a ranch east of Dillon. She graduated from Bagley, Beaverhead County High School, and Western Montana College, a real native daughter. She spent the years 1944-47 in the commercial depart- ment of B.C.H.S. The next year she came back and taught the school year of 1948-49. She completed her Master’s Degree at the University of Montana. After trying several other positions, she returned to her first love, teaching at B.C.H.S. where she has completed seventeen years of teaching in this school. Throughout her life she has been deeply involved with her commu- nity. She has gained a high level of love and respect from all those who have come in contact with her. Stu- dents who have traveled through the business courses of our school have received the best instruction from a tal- ented lady. After dedicating over thirty years of her life to students, she leaves the classroom to enjoy a solidly-earned leisure. The Death A nd Life Of Sneaky Fitch ..Faculty Play The play was produced as a benefit to enable the drama team to attend another meet. The gate far exceeded expectations. Perhaps the greatest asset was that students were able to see the faculty and administration in a differ- ent light.
