HARRIED STAFF COMPLETED YEARBOOK In addition to the editorial staff, business staff, typists, and croppers, the annual added a new staff to it ranks. A photography staff went into operation for the 1970 annual. The photographers had a press camera, a new electronic flash, and a well-equipped dark- room. Louise Riley and Janice Hand, co-editors, were helped by all in the rigorous job of putting out an annual. Hectic deadlines were met in spite of unforeseen difficulties which arose from time to time. Business editor Bette Meine, along with her crew of assistants, went about the job of selling and collecting adds with great efficiency. The annual staff was aided in its efforts by Mrs. Henningsen. JUNIOR REPRESENTATIVES COUNCIL PROJECTS PROVIDED BENEFITS TO SCHOOL We get things done, said Mr. Ankeny in September. This was the policy adopted by the student council for this year. Activities started for the council early in the year. Homecoming arrangements under the council's leadership included the parade, the election, the crowning of the queen, the dance, and the bonfire. The well run concession stand at the Class C tournament and the ball games were also to the council's credit. We depended upon our government representatives to efficiently handle once again the elections for the 1969-1970 school year. FRESHMEN REPRESENTATIVES 1. to r: P. Hofferber, K. Fagan, and J. During the Junior year students were selected to participate at Girls and Boys State which was a program involving direct participation in city, county, and state government. Boys spent a week in Dillon, and the girls enjoyed their week in Missoula. Boys were chosen by the faculty. The girls were first screened by the faculty and voted upon by their peers. Both boys and girls were chosen on the basis of scholarship, character, and leadership. These lucky students all agreed the contacts made with other delegates throughout Montana were valuable and lasting experiences. Who says the aged can't have fun? Teams made colorful uniforms, recruited cheerleaders, and entertained themselves and others on Monday and Wednesday nights. Some played the game for fun, and some played for blood. The Aluminum Lollipops was the top team playing for blood. The Knoockeybockers was the crowd pleaser in the fun category. Freshman and sophomore members also participated in games against the junior high school teams. Over seventy boys participated in the program directed by Mr. Hull. — LOSSY ONLY INTRAMURAL TEAMS HADFUNWHILE DEVELOPING SKILLS SNOW SKIMMERS WENT INTO ACTION Jumping to conclusions Preparing to take off Cutting the comers Making the sign 1. to r. Dillon participated as a team at the Missoula Nordic Championships. For the first time various skiers participated at individual meets under the name of the B.C.H. S. High School Ski Club. The year was long, and the skiers followed a rigorous training schedule. The team lost only one senior so the hopes were high for next year. Coach Wilkerson kept the team organized. 75 1 to r: Vickie McCracken, Donna Husted, Nancy McCracken, Cindy Sevalstad, and Alice Davis. GIRLS' SKI TEAM Girls' Ski Team finished third at State. Many things make up the efficiency of a school. The people on this page were the ones who had a hand in that enormous job. The custodians had the back-breaking job of keeping two large school buildings clean and neat — no small task. Mrs. Wenger kept our records, wrote innumerable slips, and was a help and friend to all. Making sure the students got to school on time, took a bit of doing, and the bus drivers did a great job of that. The students appreciated the services of our custodians, secretary, and bus drivers.
