The Class of 1917 planned and published the first annual. This year the editors and staff of the 1968 Annual dedicate their yearbook to the Class of 1917 whose thoughtfulness and foresight began this ambitious project for the benefit of themselves and future generations. The foreword of the first annual read as follows: 'This, the first volume of The Beaver, has been planned and to our best ability published as the ideal of a balanced and unprejudiced annual, in which we have endeavored to present the best gems of our lives; and in the years to come we hope that this book will bring fond memories of High School days. We sincerely trust that the future will carry on this work and make the Beaver a success.
