RODEO CLUB Marked Reorganization The Rodeo Club was re-organized this year and had forty-one members. It was originally designed to create an interest by high school students for rodeo events. The group plans to send a member to the State High School Rodeo competition; any BCHS member qualifying for National competition will automatically be assisted financially bv the Club- Officers for the year were President, David Glaus; Vice President, Jock McDowell; and Secretary-Treasurer, Mary Ed Nichols. Mr. Alden Irish was the sponsor. TRAPSHOOTERS Earned National Recognition Tom Peterson and Walter Zobell, talented Beaverhead County High School trapshooting juniors, have left a prominent mark in this sport throughout the United States. Tom's honors include the following championships: SINGLES: 1965— Washington State Class C; Wyoming State Open Junior; Alberta Province Open Sub-Junior; Montana State Junior; 1966— Elk's Tri-State Junior; Western Zone Runner-Up, Junior and Class A; HANDI- CAPS: 1965— Raymond A. Smith Sub-Junior; Robert M. Barrett Championship; 1966— Golden West Grand, third place; Zip Eaton Handicap; TEAMS: Junior All-American, honorable mention; and Junior All-State Co-Captain of Montana. Walter's achievements are the Golden West Grand Junior Championship, Montana Junior Champion; Junior Co- champion of the Montana State Team; and Junior Cham- pion of the doubles in the Barrett Memorial Trapshoot. GAA Enjoyed Fun-Filled Year This large group of GAA members participated in baseball, volleyball, basketball, and track during the year. The GAA activities for the 1966-1967 season consisted of baseball, volleyball, basketball, and track. Baseball was the first sport of the season and honors were captured by the sophomores, who also netted the volleyball tournament. The frosh showed that they were not to be outdone either by stealing the basketball title for the year. As for track, the girls went all out for it and participated in track meets at Bozeman and Western Montana College, Dillon. Conducting the affairs of GAA were these outstanding leaders: President, Judy Seidensticker; Vice president, Adele Rebich; Secretary, Marta McGovern; Treasurer, Cathy Crosser; Sports Manager, Terry Hazelbaker; and Sponsor, Mrs. Jan Black.
