LIBRARIANS Performed Various Chores Posting and collecting fines, checking books, and helping students with research are a few of the many duties of the student librarians. A new addition to the library this year was a record player, which is listened to by earphones. A wide selection of records were available for listening. OFFICE GIRLS Provided A Helping Hand These capable students arranged their busy schedules to assist our school secretary, Mrs. Ruth Wenger, with her many office duties during the school day. The girls learned office responsibilities of many types. Mrs. Ruth Wenger, Kathy Deputy, Terry Hazelbaker, Linda Cook, Robin Bonneau, Susan Howard, Janet Mountjoy, and Judy Dodd.

ROW 1: Mr. Golde, Patty Carlson, Marilyn Broraan, Dorothy Grose; ROW 2: Kathy Deputy, Judy Seidensticker, Margaret Stahl, Catherine Wilson, Susan Howard, Janet Mountjoy, Judy Lakner, Kathy Smith, Lynn Buyan, Adele Rebich; ROW 3: Gary Lively, Frank Hall, Rich Given, Mike Riley, Jim Hagenbarth, and Marc Sanders. The Future Nurses worked at the Parkview Acres Nursing Home and the Barrett Hospital this year. One of their main projects was decorating both the rest home and hospital for Christmas. They also sang carols and gave out cookies. For Valentine's Day they made valentines and filled nut cups for each patient. Anne and Pat Wehler held the record for working hours for the year. Eleven new members were accepted during the year. Officers were President, Karen Rampy; Vice President, Susan Taylor; Secretary, Linda Rand; Treasurer, Marie Kruljac; and Historian, Joy Snowden. Mrs. Jackie Richardson and Mrs. Helen Andrus were advisers of the group. CHEMOCRATSToured Atomic Reactor Station Chemocrat meetings held on the first Thursday of each month were highlighted by demonstrations and short speeches pertaining to subjects of interest to members. In February the group traveled to the National Reactor Testing Station near Arco, Idaho. Officers for the year were President, Patty Carlson; Vice President, Marilyn Broman; Secretary-Treasurer, Dorothy Grose. Mr. Golde was the adviser. JUNIOR RED CROSS Sponsored Vietnamese Child The annual Junior Red Cross drive produced a 90 per cent membership in BCHS. A service project of supplying a Baby Care package to help a Vietnamese infant was adopted. The Junior Red Cross Council members helped in the local Red Cross Blood Drawings by providing secretarial help. They also assisted the Senior Red Cross Chapter by making advertising posters for their fund drive. Officers for the year were President, Tad Henningsen; Vice President, John Schuler, Secretary, Judy Dodd; Treasurer, Kathy Deputy. Mr. Wolf was adviser. SPEECH Students Competed in State Meets Speech and debate participants attended meets at Bozeman, Helena, Livingston, Ana- conda, and the District Meet at Bozeman during the year. Steve Elwood took top honors at the Livingston meet with his humorous declamation, ’’Noah's Ark, ” and placed fourth at the District Meet, making him eligible for the State Meet in Billings. Others attending the District Meet were Patty Carlson, Joellen Johnson, Dave Duncan, Karen Kennedy, Joanne Heggelund, Kathy Deputy, Marie Kruljac, and Judy Seiden- sticker. Mr. Gile Mitchell was adviser. SEATED: Judy Dodd, John Schuler, Mr. Wolf, Tad Henningsen, Kathy Deputy; STANDING: Pete Burwell, Dwight Richard, Dotte Rand, Mike Sevalstad, Vickie McCracken, Becky Barrett, Carol Lodge, Michelle Stewart, Sally Andersen, Janet Mount joy, Karen Kennedy, Blake Sevalstad, D. J. Smith, Nick DeLeon, Dale Grose, John Glaus, and Steve Huffaker.
