School Board The School Board of Beaverhead County High School volunteers its time and effort to see that the high school is efficiently operated and that the students have all advantages possible to gain knowledge. Each member has given of his time and thinking to see that our high school continued its progress and remained abreast of the changes in education. We, the students of Beaverhead County High School, owe much to these unselfish citizens who have worked hard to provide for us the best possible educational system. 8

The Beaver slide—originated in Beaverhead County--is a real help in haying operations in the famous Big Hole Basin. In other parts of the vast Beaverhead Valley, ranchers bale their hay, as shown at the Rock Island Ranch in the Black- tail. Beaver Rock, 17 miles north of Dillon, was a landmark in early days. From this rock our county received its name. Sawtooth Mountain, in the rugged Pioneer Range in Beaverhead County, is accessible by pack trails only. 7
