Our thcmi is THE LAND AROUND US, and on the division pages of this book you will find photographs depicting the beauty exclusively characteristic of your homeland. Between these pages are pictures of yourselves during the memorable l951l-1960 school year. We hope the stories these pictures tell of faculty, classes activities, music, and sports will recall fond memories as you turn the pages of the 1960 BEAVER. 0 o., 'r mm? -,rr WY N MEMORIAM SCHOOL BOARD FACULTY CLASSES ACTIVITIES MUSIC SPORTS SNAPS 91 IN NIEIVIORIAIVI CARL HEIKKILA REED PAYNE There are no frrends lrke old frrends To calm our frequent fears when shadows fall and deepen Through lrfe s dechmng vears And when our falterlng footsteps Approach the Great D1v1de We 11 long to meet the old frrends Who wart on the other srde Davrd Banks Srckles 3 L P ' f l 1 o 5 T. SCHOOL BOARD We owe much to these unselfish citizens of Beaverhead County who work hard to provide for us the best education possible. Their only reward for donating their time and efforts to this service is the satis- faction they receive from knowing we learn in an up-to-date educal tional system. 4 OUR PRINCIPAL To the Class of 1960 . . . Today you Seniors are filled with the aspirations of youth. Your hopes and aims are only limited by the breadth of your intellect and the strength of your imagination. Ten. twenty, thirty years from now you can look back and take stock of your lives and yourselves. If you have failed, it will be because your dreams have grown dim and your resolutions have wavered. If you reach your goal, it will be because you have held firm to the purposes and have kept to the ideals you have formed here in the sensitive years of your youth at the Beaverhead County lligh School. Congratulations and best wishes to the Class of 1960. faq! -4.1 B. W. Lodge Principal FERN FOX CUSTODIANS 'wc are truly grateful for tlic fine custodiaiis of BCHS. Things inanimate have moved, and living souls have been informed by magic numbers and persuasive sound of the rumbling clouds and trickling melted snow joining a swollen river.
