SENIOR CLASS PLAY “Liliom” On November 17 and 1 8 the senior class presented the play LILIOM by Ferenc Molnar, directed by Mr. Pannuto. Mr. Stroud was assistant director. Liliom is a shiftless young man. He works on and off as a barker for a merry-go-round, and many girls fall for his charms. Among these girls is Julie whom he eventually marries. Learning that he is about to become a father, Liliom participates in a highway robbery in order to enhance his fortunes. He is caught in the act and stabs himself rather than submit to arrest. Dixie South was elected president; Elva Owen, vice-president; Anne Ronnemose, secretary; Shirley Bacon, treasurer; Sharon Stanchfield, parliamentarian; Carolee Kambich, reporter; Nora Lee Jone s, historian; Lois Peters, song leader. Mrs. Andrus was spon- sor for the first half of the term and Miss Christy the remaining half of the term. Mrs. Stanchfield was Chapter Mother. Among the activities undertaken were: preparing the annual F. F. A. Parent-Son Banquet, sponsoring several dances and food sales, per- forming a skit for the as- sembly, exhibiting their sew- ing talents at the annual style show, preparing Red Cross boxes for over seas, and sell- ing refreshments at the track meet. These are only a few of the many worthwhile pro- jects . Donna White, Lois Pet- ers, Carolee Kambich, and Shirley Bacon attended the state convention at Missoula in April. 19 Robert’s Food Market
