TO THE SECRETARY One of the most important threads in our school system is in the office. The secretary of the office plays a very necessary part in the lives of the stu- dents. This year we are fortunate to have Mrs. Fern Fox with us. Credit must be given to this patient, long-suf- fering person, for she must listen to the long list of excuses, which the students dream up, and de- cide whether or not they deserve a permit. This job is just her minor duty as compared with acting as secretary to the principal and keeping charge of the books for the various clubs. TO THE CUSTODIANS: To Jules Wenger and Red Pettit go our thanks for the very fine job they do keeping our building clean. They can be seen working late at night and on Saturdays. These two men have shown unselfish attitudes in their willingness to assist with programs and dances that we have held. To these two men go our thanks, not only from the Sen- ior Class, but from the entire school, for their friendly, cooperative services. 9

STUDENT COUNCIL Mrs, McCollum Sponsor The B. C. H. S. Student Association is an active group in our school. The officers are elected by the students of the school for one year. These officers with representatives from the four classes form the Student Council. The purpose of this council is to form the policies of the school. This year the council submitted plans to the Borad of Education dividing the responsibility of the Beaver Lodge into three parts: the student body and faculty, the Board of Education and the American Legion Auxiliary. They also chose the Color Guard. Officers this year are Carolyn Sar- gent, President; John McCollum, Vice President; Sharon Stanchfield, Secretary, Elva Owen, Business Manager, and Elizabeth McFadden, Treasurer. Mrs. McCollum is the sponsor. First National Bank, Member of F. D. I. C. 11
