To the Seniors: Sometimes I believe the pupil feels a gulf between himself and the teacher, but in the deepest sense this is not true. We are all learners, teachers as well as students, from the day of our birth to the end of life which is the master teacher. If we cease to seek after knowledge as it is found in books, in nature, in human relations we are untrue to our God -given c a - pacitiesfor mental and spiritual growth. The school and the teacher are but helps to start the individual on the great quest of learning. As one of your teach- ers I share with the faculty in the sincere hope that here you have caught a glimpse of the desirability of learning and that you will go out from these halls with open minds and a zest for the pursuit of know- ledge. Lenore McCollum, Assistant Principal. To the Seniors: For youth, in a complex society, education is more than a luxury; it is a necessity. It must prepare them to improve on the civilization which their fathers have built; to live more fully than their parents have lived; to be more farsighted statesmen and leaders in world affairs than their fathers have been. Seniors, I hope your four years of life at Beaver- head County High School, will aid you in this complex society. May I congratulate you on your achievements and fine plans for the future, wishing you the best life that our society has to offer. W. J. Bierrum, Assistant Principal. 6
