Junior Class History The class of 1954 entered high school with eighty-three members. They were welcomed by Mr. Aahl and the faculty. The Sophomores sponsored the annual mixer and awarded prizes for outstanding costumes to Janet Wil- liss, Don Wilson, and Jack Kenison. The class elected Bill Bierrum, presi- dent; Jack Kenison, vice-president; Bill Cottom, secretary; Roberta Bowering, treasurer; Jeanette Thompson, yell leader. Membership increased to eighty- eight at the beginning of their second year. The usual initiation of the fresh- men was enacted by the class, and they sponsored a mixer. The following were chosen to represent the class: Jerry Dumke, president; Jack Bogut, vice- president; Bill Cottom, secretary; Ro- berta Bowering, treasurer; Lois Peters, yell leader. Mr. Bierrum and Miss Gilleland were the class advisors. At the start of the Junior year the following officers were elected: Caro- lyn Sargent, president; Yvonne Wenger, vice-president; Kay Nelson, secretary; Nora Lee Jones, treasurer; Janet Wil- liss, yell leader. The class gained Su- zanne Dansie, Gail Huntley, Mary Light- foot, Claudette McCllean, Dick Rich- ards, Bob Roby, and Sally Stroeder; but lost one member, Loaine Lovell. They presented the class play, Double Doors . The big project this year is the Junior Prom. The theme this year is April in Paris . Sponsors this year are Mrs. Andrus, Mr. Stroud, and Mr. Ryerson. 24
