ACTIVITIES The SPIRIT OF BEAVERCREEK accompanies us not only in school, but also after the dismissal bell rings and we are participating in the numerous extracurricular activities offered at Beavercreek. Remember , . . How eagerly we awaited the first sock hop. The victorious homecoming game and the dance in the new cafeteria. How our lunch hour was extended so that we could satisfy our curiosity when the new building was completed. How we all chanted burn the Eag1es as the paper eagle was tossed into the flames at the huge bonfire before the Chaminade football game. The first dreaded day when we received report cards. How relieved we were when the study halls were moved from the gym to the new addition just in time for the first basketball game. I-low the cheerleaders' new bright orange uniforms clashed with the old Beaver suit. The beautiful decorations at the Snowflake Fantasy, all the fun we had during Christmas vacation, and how we hated to go back to school. How proudly the school colors were worn on School Spirit Day. How we planned to celebrate at the game and dance Friday after exam week, and how disappointed we were when the game was canceled because of snow. How the school was plastered with campaign signs during the Student Council elections. How loud we cheered during the crowning of our Queen of Hearts at the half-time ceremonies of the Wayne basketball game. The cheerleaders' original astronaut cheer at the last pep rally. How much fun we had doing the polka and acting crazy at the Slop Hop which ended TWIRP week. How hard we laughed at the teachers' impression of a typical high school classroom at the Variety Show. The hilarious disguises and the line in front of the kissing booth at the Mardi Gras. How cold it tumed on Friday, April 13th, the day of the Prom, and despite this all the fun and excitement we had at the Mystic Cascades. How we were all busy as Beavers washing windows and decorating the school for the OASC Conference, and how proud we were of our Student Council, our school spirit, our student body, and our beautiful building after it was all over. And remember . . . We were all a part of the SPIRIT OF BEAVERCREEK. Is this the basketball court? 82
