Dedicated to the Parents of the Class of 1981 Senior year is a time for many decisions. In dedicating our yearbook, we asked ourselves who had done the most for us as a class and as individuals. Although there have been numerous persons involved in our high school years, none have come close to your prominence. As parents you have sacrificed a tremendous amount for us. Your hard work, care, and love have given us the incentive to seek success. Through the years we have taken much more than we can ever repay. In dedicating this yearbook, we, the Class of 1981, hope to slightly decrease our immeasurable debt to you. Graduation is a time when we must look forward while recalling the past. New beginnings await as we leave B.R.C.S., and new people will enter our lives as we face the future. We realize the important role your guidance has played in our lives and vow never to forget the doors you have opened for us. One day, many of us will watch as our child receives his or her diploma. It will be then from our pocket the money for class rings, senior pictures, and caps and gowns must originate. Only then will we fully comprehend all that you have given. Reflecting on our past, it is from our love and gratitude that this dedication stems. Thank you. 3

HOMECOMING Homecoming is a time when old friends return and new memories are acquired — Homecoming 1980 was no exception. The theme was “Movies” and the weekend began “rolling” at the Pep Rally on Friday. The popcorn party at 7:00 was highlighted by the 1st annual Big Mouth Contest. Saturday dawned, but not bright and clear. Rain clouds threatened during the float parade and judging. Unfortunately, a consistent downpour discouraged the majority of spectators at the football game. During half time the Seniors out yelled the underclassmen to win the Pep Jug. The game versus the Spartans ended in a 14 14 tie. Starting at 8:00 p.m., Kindergarten played tunes for our 11th Homecoming dance. Under the “direction” of Student Council and all the Cheerleaders, the weekend was one we will all remember.
