Class Prophecy On July 4, 1969, the senior class of 1959 held its first reunion in Stan Tanner's and Tom Yancey's observatory on the moon. Everyone arrived in the rocket Mary Alice - compliments of Bud Hitchcock. After a tour of the observatory, all gathered around an enormous telescope and discussed the present positions of the class members on earth. Elizabeth Monnat and Joyce Sweeney are partners in the Sweenmont Dress Cor- poration in New Jersey; their most popular creation is a water repellent dress. Janice Lehman has an ultra-modern beauty shop adjoining Dr. Dalton's office. She is famous for the new hair style which she created - Red Rye Rag Mop. Joan Schwendy has just written a successful book entitled The Day I Saw Elvis. Leonard Jackson has top billing as comedian in Don Abel's famous night club, Coffee House of the September Moon. After persistent efforts and a few breaks, Judy Hasseler and Karl Lehman have reached stardom in Hollywood. Their latest movie, Always in Time, also stars Ron Yousey, pinch-hitting for Tab Hunter. Leon Doney owns the thousands of Doney Dinettes and motels across the nation and in Alaska; Howard Johnson has been forced into bankruptcy. Sharon Pat6 is hos- tess in the home branch in Croghan. Susan Edwards is dietitian in the White House. Incidentally, the president is currently in Walter Reed hospital suffering from indigestion. He insists on Karen Ford and Janet Lehman as his nurses. All the women are interested in Kay Zehr's latest book, How to Get Along With the Opposite Sex. She says, Just ignore them! Joyce Beck, Norma Virkler and Yvonne Potter are recording hit tunes under the name of Two Mutts and a Jeff. Dan Zehr has devised a new world calendar with 365 holidays and no time allot- ted for school. Ron Bachman, captain of the Naumburg Globe Trotters, is the first man to reach the moon and still keep his feet on the ground. Ray Company has been named Sportsman of the year; his portrait appeared on the cover of the June issue of Conservationist. The biography of Alice Virkler, owner of Macy's new competitor, Virkler's De- partment Store, appears in Who's Who In American Business. Alice says she owes her success to her two top sales clerks, Mae Graves and Merinda VanAmam. Jane Herzig and Mary Lasher have opened a playground for teenagers in Belfort; their biggest attraction is a plastic skating rink. Ron Bush, the new playing manager of the St. Louis Hawks, says he is confident of a victory this season. With the tremendous rebounding ability of Lynn Herzig, Ron says it's a cinch. Sara Jones was named Mother of the Year by the teenagers of America at the Annual Awards Banquet. The same night, Karen Morrison was given the title of Homemaker of the Year. Best seller this month is Bill Dalton's World's Greatest Playboy. Bill says it's an autobiography. Tony Perkins has just hired Keitha Farney as private tutor for his 12 children. Keitha says, It's easier by the dozen. 19

Opry Helen Martin is working very hard as Doc Williams' personal agent on Grand Ole Bernie Bush has invented a special lotion for removing freckles. We hear it is selling very rapidly. A recent surprise was the appointment of Mary Alice Hynes to the new cabinet post. Secretary of Interplanetary Travel. Kilpatrick's Matrimonial Bureau, headed by Nancy Gray, has been doing a booming business; it's rumored that Nancy is responsible for over 5,000 marriages. After exchanging all the news, refreshments were served; everyone ate heart- ily of green cheese, spaceburgers and star cola. Then, with hunger appeased, all reboarded the rocket for a speedy return trip to earth. Class Will We, the class of 1959, being of sound mind and body, do hereby declare this our last Will and Testament. To the Board of Education, we (surprisingly) leave the school in one piece. To the faculty, we leave our extraordinary intelligence. To our parents, we leave a bottle of vitamins which we feel they may need. To Mr. Rew, our advisor, we leave a quieter homeroom. Last of all we have a few treasured possessions we want to leave to the Juniors. We hope they will make good use of them. LYNN (will the meeting please come to order) HERZIG leaves his ability to con- duct a class meeting to Rod (will someone make a motion the meeting be adjourned) Company. JANICE (does my hair look okay) LEHMAN leaves her ability to giggle in any class to Betty (Navy Blue) Brouty. JOAN (have you heard Elvis's new song?) SCHWENDY and MARY (Squeek) LASHER leave their quietness to Alice (let's go to Carthage) LaChausse. DON (I like red heads) ABEL leaves his skill at driving with one hand to Earl Hot Rodder Scoville and Larry (have a weed) Brouty. JOYCE (let's go to Germany) BECK and NORMA (I'd rather go to Lowville) VIRKLER leave their sweet shortness to Elizabeth (let's have a skating party) Jackson and Gary (I'm a Beaver River guy now) Lomber. ELIZABETH (don't call me Liz) MONNAT leaves lessons on how to be a pest to Carol (I'm just a squirt) Virkler. JOYCE (let's go Air Force) SWEENEY leaves a few of her nicknames to Carolyn (I'm bashful) Zecher and Lila (oh, my gosh) Moser. YVONNE (anybody got any gum) POTTER and LINDA (I love bus 24) ZEHR leave their constantly changing seats in room 9N to Pat (I've got a new chuckle) Colombo and Dorothy (I met some cute guys----)Noftsier. SUSAN (let's dance) EDWARDS and MARY ALICE (what's the speed limit) HYNES leave strands of their blonde hair to Marilyn (I really don't need it) Moshier. RONNIE (call me handsome) BUSH leaves his undying devotion to Jeanne (oh, those gym classes) Dennison. MAE (anybody heard any good jokes?) GRAVES leaves her skill at making people think she is an angel to Jack (anybody wanna help me tease the girls) Rubar and Jen- nie (good things come in little packages) Schulz. JUDY (T-E-A-M) HASSELER and BUD (let's fly) HITCHCOCK leave their pleasing personalities to Bill (let's fight) Terry. RON (I'm not bashful any more) YOUSEY leaves his height to Perry (I can't think of anything to say) Steria. SHARON (little, but oh my!) PATE leaves her ability to get along with the boys to Linda (art bug) Keib and Marie (future secretary) Schneider. 20
