Class History One bright warm September day, 34 shy but eager freshmen dark- ened the door-steps of B. R. C. S. They were looking forward to the four short but full years that lay ahead of them. We found the Library which was to be our home room, and sitting there, was our adviser, Mr. Beem- er. We elected Barbara Sturtze to lead us through that adventurous year. During that year we busied ourselves selling red-y jell. With this our treasury began to expand. We hoped our Sophomore year would be as prosperous as our Freshman year. This time we walked into school with a little more confidence. How- ever, we had lost 6 of our ambitious students. This year we moved into room 25 and found a new class advisor — Mr. Kirch. Our class officers turned out to be as follows: Ralph Shultz was President, His assistant was Stuart Johnson, Betty Widrick was Secretary, with Barbara Sturtze as Treasurer. This year was really a prosperous year for us, we sold more red-y jell and had a movie. My Dog, Shep. Just think, next year we will be almost Seniors. Ah—happy day—we're Juniors. We are still stationed in room 25 and Mr. Kirch is still our class advisor. Everything is about the same; we lost 3 more of our students and gained 1. Our officers were Ralph Shultz as President, John Grau as his assistant, Pat Hamblin as Secretary, and Barbara Sturtze as our Treasurer. This year we really went to town; we had dances, bake sales, scrap paper and iron drives, a talent show, and last but not least, came our Junior Play No Boys Allowed . We left our Junior year very happy because we were to be Seniors next year. Well, we're finally here—Seniors at last. Our room is still 25 and our advisor is still Mr. Kirch. Our officers have changed a bit. Our President is now Nancy Grau, with Ralph Schultz as her assistant; Pat Hamblin is Secretary, with Barbara Sturtze still Treasurer. We were really excited when we ordered our name cards and our invitations. We really enjoy- ed ourselves during our last year. We had enough money in our treas- ury so we didn't have to worry. Yet we had fun having dances, bake sales, a talent show, and our Senior Play, Don't Be Bashful . We pro- moted other things including our Variety Show and our Poor Man's Car- nival. At the end of our Senior year our treasury was somewhat large. Our class really worked hard to make it that way. We intend to go to New York. We are leaving school to go out into the world. Our motto through the last four years has been, If you work together, side by side, you can accomplish anything .
