CLASS HISTORY One bright sunny day, in September '48, a group of young, frightened, but thrilled freshmen walked up the stairs of B.R.C.S. to find a new and adventurous life awaiting them, We found the library as our homeroom with Mr. Coon as our advisor. YVe elected Elizabeth Demo as our leader and Tom White as her assistant. During the year we enjoyed a sleigh ride and a party, and our treasury showed an increase of a small sum of money which proved the progress we had already made as salesmen. just think, next year we would be sophomores! As we walked into B.R.C.S., we had a little more ease and assurance than during the previous year. This second year we found that our homeroom was to be Room 22, with Mrs. Schantz as our advisor for the first semester and Mr. Maloney-, the last semester. We elected Tom White as leader, Ralph Corey as assistant, Elizabeth Demo, secretary, and Barbara Hasseler as treasurer. We were introduced to many new subjects, each of us choosing those that would best fit into his plans for future years. Money-making projects included movies, bake sales, and the selling of cards and Christmas wrappings, all of which proved to be very successful. After our finals, we looked forward to our junior Year at B.R.C.S. . This year we were juniors. We discovered that our homeroom, with Mr. Maloney again as our advisor, was to be Room 14. Many of the old familiar faces had left us. One of the first things that we did was to elect our officers: Gary Schneeberger, Leader, Bob Terry, Assistant, Carolyn Martin, Secretary, and Janet Widrick, Treasurer. At Christmastime, we were going around the halls with out-stretched hands. Yes, our class rings had arrived, so now we were full-fledged juniors. We sponsored our play, Beauty and the Beefv, and our junior Prom, which was a huge success financially. We also held two dances, both of which raised the amount in our treasury. Once more we faced finals, but next year we would be known as the Seniors of '52 . After a long summer vacation, we were now as confident and ready to go as any of the classes before us. Again, one of our first acts was to elect our officers. We chose Gary Schneeberger as our leader, Barb Hasseler as his assistant, Diane I6
