Youth is that magic time that foolishness was made for . . . when rules are there to be broken and the earth turns swiftly to satisfy the wonder dream that ends all too soon. 0I 8 lfUOI As we, the Senior Class, iourney through life we shall often glance back to recapture the golden memories of our high school years. To be certain, our sophomore year was a memorable one. There was Sue, Cathy, Ned, and Charlie who were our elected officers for our first year in the new school. Our main pro- iect was Final Touchdown, the annual football dance which was naturally a tremendous success. Our iunior year was indeed one to be remembered. With the leadership in the capable hands of Joyce, Kandi, Denny, and John, our magazine sale far surpassed that of our preceding class. And who can forget all the wistaria and ivy adorning the Junior-Senior Prom, Moonlight Stroll!! However these merely are preludes to a final climax-1964. How each of us anticipated this year with mixed emotions-eagerness to plunge into a new way of life, sadness at the thought of separation from our life-long friends. Ver- onica, Cathy, Ben, and Randy, together with Ned as Student Council president conducted our senior activities. Our candy sale was both exhausting and re- warding. The tremendous showmanship of our boys on the football squad is always to be commended-25 consecutive victories. Bourbon Street Beat will also be tucked away in our treasure chest of memories. Certainly these moments are great highlights of a wonderful high school career. However, the knowledge we have gained exceeds all in importance. Each of us is grateful for the opportunity to study and learn at B.H.S. Now, as you leaf through the 'I964 Shingas, we hope that you will recall all the experiences of you and your fellow classmates. But please, take time to contemplate each moment of ioy and sorrow-for the earth turns swiftly to satisfy the wonder dream which ends . . . all too soon. We proudly present the SHINGAS OF 1964 . . 4
