-4 Consolidation of school 1952 with the fo merged s in the Beaver Area received its start in rmation of a Jointure. Its resolution into a union or district required the approval of the citizens in each unit. This was approved by the voters in November, 1953. July 7, following, saw the beginning of the Beaver Area School District, composed of Boro and Brighton Townships, Bridgewater and Beaver Boros. This year is also noteworthy from the fact that a new wing and a cafeteria were added to two buildings-the Brighton Township School and the Senior High School. The gymnasium of the high school was reconstructed to provide greater facilities for classes conducted there. As a tinal touch, the beautiful, new cafeteria was opened to the student body on February 1. At the present writing, plans are under way for a new Senior High School, the site of which has not been officially dis- closed, although several are being considered.
