ALL THE RIGHT MOVES The Beaver Falls Tigers, defending WPIAL Champions, ended their season with a record of seven wins and three losses. The 1985 Football Season opened with a tough loss to the Ambridge Bridgers by a score of 7-3. The Tigers defeated their next four opponents, Center, Brownsville, Freedom, and Quaker Valley, by a combined score of 129-13. The low point of the year for the Tigers was the next two games against Riverside and Ell-wood City. The Tigers did not play up to their potential. Turning the ball over several times and making costly mistakes had a great deal to do with the outcome of the Tigers' season. The Tigers finished the season like the champions they are better known as by shutting out Mars, New Brighton, and Beaver, respectively. Coach Blythe will lose twelve senior letter-men: Calvin Anderson, Benny Carter, Shawn Cleckly, Martin Cox, Dave Docchio, Mannie Foskey, Paul Mulig, Ed Reynolds, Payton Riggins, Mike River, Scott Shuler, and Adrian Williams. FHowever, there are twenty-one returning lettermen. The 1986 Fighting Tigers look very promising. Making All-State Honors for the Tigers were Ed Reynolds and Mike River. Reynolds made Second Team defense while River made Honorable Mention for both offense and defense. Congratulations to Coach Blythe and the 1985 Fighting Tigers on a well-played season. 3 42 20 32 35 7 6 48 19 22 WINS- BROWNSVILI.fH FREEDOM QUAKER VALLEY RIVERSIDF ELLWO )l) MARS NEW BRIGHTON BEAVER ;Y .•
