MR. WILLIAM A. SMITH Principal Any student of Beaver Falls Area Senior High School is familiar with the phrase, My door is always open. 1 he door, of course, is the one leading to the office of Mr. William Smith, BFAS-HS principal. The student who walks through the doorway knows that Mr. Smith will always meet him more than half way concerning any problem. Indeed, Mr. Smith is a fair, cooperative person. Students naturally feel at ease with him because he always talks WITH a student, rather than TO him. The entire BFASHS sincerely thanks him for everything he has done for us. MR. HARRY D. MILNES Federal Coordinator Mr. Harry Milnes, in his second year as Federal Co-ordinator, has made much progress for the Beaver Falls School System. The Head Start program and the Federal Work program are just two of the projects in which Mr. Milnes has played an important role. The new' printing equipment for the journalism program was also accomplished with the use of federal funds. MR. EVAN NARDONE MR. ROGER A. ALEXIS Assistant Principal It takes a special kind of person to see a high school student as an individual, rather than just a face among 1600 others. Mr. Evan Nardone is such a person. His position as assistant principal places him in contact with perhaps more BFHS students than does any other school official, yet he treats each student he sees in a special way. Mr. Nardone is very involved with the affairs of the school and is always pushing to improve standards. His decisions are always in the best interest of BFHS, and we appreciate this. Director of Guidance Mr. Roger Alexis, BFASHS Director of Guidance has devoted many years of service to the students of Beaver Falls High School. His duties include the scheduling of tests for all three classes, advising the Senior Class and arranging such programs as College Night, the Ninth Grade Orientation Program, and separate meetings for those students who plan a future other than college.
