Busy Bookkeepers T he Gym Circus Each year the physical education department of Beaver Falls High School displays its athletic prowess in the annual gym circus. Through hard work and the untiring efforts of Miss Heinrich, Mr. Schachern, Mr. Heeter, and Miss Davis, the circus has proved to be such a success that each year many have been turned away. This year the circus was carried out on an international theme with such acts as the Swiss Bellringers, Mexican Hat Dance, Spanish Bull Fight, the Highland Fling and others. Another act which always makes for excitement is the trampoline act. And of course, since no circus would be complete without them, there are the clowns with their silly antics that always bring a laugh. Girls Athletics Beaver Falls High School offers a well rounded program of girls’ athletics. In the gym classes girls can choose to work on the trampoline, play mush-ball, badminton, tennis, basketball, golf, bowling, archer}-, volleyball, fencing, and many other different activities. The girls also get to put this experience to use. This year there was a volleyball tournament which the Senior team w-on. There was an archery contest also won by the seniors. As a result of this contest Carol Snowden, a junior, was named the best archer in the school. Each year more activities are planned to keep our girls physically fit and “raring to go.” 4 Zj. u _ . • i k J . V ' h. V | t J f • , |, a « ■' - J • w •• | , « • • • |4 J , . ■.'
