l'larly in the so-called Roaring 'l'wenties I enrolled in the English course. This action was not of my own free will and judgment, for an American doesn't decide about taking lflnglish. l was born into it and shall remain in it throughout my life. The only question is, How am l succeeding in it? Am I going to limit my literary success to biogra- phies of G-S, Superman, and Batman? Am I going to say Howgedo when given an introduc- tion to my dream girl? Shall I call her the berries, when compliment- ing her?
