They lost several games which could have meant the championship for them by one or two points. Their conference record was '7-3 and their overall record was 9-8 including two tournament games. Beaver Dam, playing in the Madison East tournament, won easily the first night over Monona Grove by a score of 55-43. The next night East beat the Beavers 63-53 in the champion- ship game.
