Around a huge spectacular bonfire, students cheered and speeches were given by various guest speakers, while Ripon burned at the stake. The following afternoon the ever-popular parade of cleverly decorated floats paraded through the downtown streets. The main at- traction being th-e float of the queen and her court. The highlight of the festivities occurred when the Golden Beaver defeated a strong Ripon team by a score of 6-0.
