The athletic program is wholeheartedly supported by local sports fans as well as by the student body. Rousing cheers echo against the hills when the home team makes the supreme effort to bring victory or defeat. The last kickoff, the ,final run, the dying echo of the last whistle mark the end of football for this year.Cheer- leader Margaret Knox and Halfback Danny Little glee- fully relive the exciting moments of a successful season in which the Beavers were the victors in seven of the ten games played.

Ah, Beaver Creek...Have you ever considered what you are going to miss most when these long corridors no longer echo to your hasty footsteps, and the classrooms no more resound to your gay laughter? What thoughts will haunt you as you make that last long walk, clad in cap and gown, diploma grasped tightly in your hand? Perhaps you'll live again your happy associa- tions with your classmates. . .your varied co-curricular activities. . .your exciting athletic victories. . . and, last of all, your grudgingly-given hours of classwork. Yes, all these are intricate parts of the patte rn of a well- rounded education and of a full, well-adjusted person- ality. And there will be, for some, excessive joy at reaching the point of no return. Regrets? Some now. . . many, later, at the idea of lost opportunities, unrecog- nized until it is too late. Yes, such thoughts may flash, lightning -like, across your mind. Some will vanish for- ever. . .Gthers may linger on-and on-to eternity. It is our wish that this endeavor will keep your pleas- ant memories forever freshly etched upon your mind. . . Memories that might be obliterated by the passing years without this reminder. We have tried, through the fol- lowing pages, to permanently preserve some of the most outstanding moments of your research for Truth and Beau- ty, so that you may, in remembering, resume momen- tarily, your lives at Beaver Creek. . .Thrill again at the sound of the bell at the break. . .Meet your friends in the ReoreationfRoom and in the hall. . . Discuss your triumphs and your heartaches over the inevitable soda. . .Linger again in the hallway for a last word with your young love . . .Trudge disconsolately to cl as s. . . Rush to the school bus at 3:00, chattering excitedly at the thought of having endure d another day. . .Make the journey homeward, your mind, even then, reaching out across the hours until you may again enter the portals of B. C .
