Introduction In every age, in every clime, bells have served as a vibrant medium for man's finest thoughts and deepest emotions. They joyfully ring out glad tidings, systematically sound the passage of time, and dolefully toll forth the message of death. Bells influence each day of our lives, calling us to school, to work, to meals and to play. The most glorious peal ever toned, however, is that which awakens love in the hearts of men and beckons them to prayer, to Mass, and thus to God. We of Beaumonfs graduating class of the Marian Year hope to express the importance of bells through the 1954 Pampette, and we pray that as we respond to these bells more consciously each year, their magnetic force will draw us irresistably to that holier life which leads to the City of the Eternal Bells, to proclaim the infinite glory of God for all eternity. 7 The Facult MOTHER AUGUSTINE SISTER MARY FABIAN Local Superior Principal Latin 3 SISTER MARY PATRICE SISTER ALICE CLARE SISTER MARIE HELENE Assirlant Principal Homeroom 2 English 4 Homeroom l Religion 4 French 2 Ef1gliSl1 3 ' '1'f'Pf feALl 'S0f SISTER FRANCIS XAVIER SISTER JOHN FRANCIS Homeroom 7 Homemom 4 SISTER MARY STEPHEN ffeflfh 1 Art atm l . . If rw 1 E L X Ah In Memoriam Death--that golden bell, that opens the palace of eternity. MARIBOB CAMPBELL Happy if be who laearetla The signal of his release In the bells of the Holy City, The chimes of eternal peace! Of the many cherished thoughts of our four years here at Beaumont, deepest in our hearts are those of our silent classmate, Maribob. Memories of her are never sad- rather they are filled with the laughter and warm reminiscence of a happy girl with happy thoughts. We have never felt an emptiness for her-Maribob joined with us in the gaity of the Senior Prom, cried with us in the thoughts of our nearing commencement at the Junior-Senior Banquet, and stood proudly with us at graduation as we received our diplomas. Maribob will watch with sisterly love as we venture into the world, as We work out our salvation, and finally as we arrive at our heavenly home where she will be awaiting us. 23 Senior Class Officers CAROL KIRKWOOD PATRICIA BRIGHT Secretary MARY HOPKINS Treasurer 4 President of the Senior Class Student Council Representatives MARY ALICE GOEBEL CLARE KIRCHNER MARY ALICE SANKEY MARIANNE TIGHE Marilyn jean Azzarello Azz Fire and Ice Full of fun, ever on the go We're Jpeahing of Azz, as you well know. Mothers ' Guild A comparatively new, but very active organization at Beaumont is the Mothers, Guild. Along with the meetings throughout the year are the Mother-Daughter Communion Breakfast and the summer Garden Party. K8 Farewell ---- Dear Beaumont Our hearts are with you, dear Beaumont, No matter where we may roam, For we know we may always return, Dear Beaumont, to you, our home. We've spent four years in your portals You've done your very best. Now it's up to us mortals To carry on and do the rest. The Sisters have worked so hard, That we would learn the right, And they have prayed so long That we will keep our goal in sight, There's a place in our hearts, dear Beaumont, For each of our friends, near and dear, As the time approaches to leave, Many will shed a tear. But there are numluerless seas to cross, Ani many more mountains to climb Before each will attain her goal, And see her God Divine. Whether 'tis to the call of Christ we zo, Or the call of a mortal man, Or whether it is a profession, We must do the best we can. We will face the future with confidence And try to help each other, And someday we will all meet again, In heaven, with Christ, our Brother. Before we move on to face the future, to answer the call of the wedding bells, or the convent bells, we must reflect a moment on all those whose kindness helped to make our book a reality. Our HIS! thoughts of gratitude go to God Himself, Who inspired and guided us along our way-without Whose inspiration we were helpless. To Sister Alice Clare, with her invaluable experience, who directed each step and encouraged us through every phase of our work, we give heartfelt thanks. To our wonderful staffs, so enthusiastic, so generous, so co-opera- tive, we extend our thanks and hearty congratulations-you have done a splendid job. To our ever kind and understanding business associates, Mrs. Weins and Mr. Olson of the Anthony Weins Studio, Mr. Hammell of the Mueller Art Cover and Binding Company, Mr. Seitz and Mr. Livengood of the Cleveland Engraving Company, Mr. Watt of the Watt Printing Company, we are ever grateful. And so, as we present the 1954 Pampette to you, our beloved class, for whom we made the book, we pray that it will ever cease to resound with the cherished memories of four unforgettable years at Beaumont. .
