Built in 1903, the plant today employs more than 3,000 people-representing a wide range of crafts and professions that include machin- ists, carpenters, painters, engineers, clerks, sailors, gardeners and a photographer. lts payroll is responsible for circulating more than a million dollars a month through the Beaumont Community. Operating day and night, the refinery produces a multitude of products to help meet the world's petroleum needs.
