Beaumont, Texas 'GWE ARE INFURMED THAT A TOWN HAS LATELY been laid out on the tidewater of the river Neches, at a place known as Tevis Bluff, 30 miles from Sabine Bay. Its situation is said to be one of the most delightful in Texas and it has already commenced im- proving at a rapid rate. It is spoken of as a town which promises to be one of considerable importance. This inland city built on the Neches River is a city of opportunities for those who are willing to work. Our school is our main source of preparation for these opportunities. We are proud of our school. Long after we have left these halls of BHS to take our place in the community, we will remember the puzzled faces of the sophomores on the first day of school, that confused look in Geometry, the pride the students feel as they see the Purple B when they sing 'Sliver Loyal, and the determined look of the fullback as he receives the kick-off. All these and many more make up the price- less memories of our high school years. This is our School . . .
