We've strolled the lanes together -and we think you're swell! Good luck! DOEBELE, SEVERIN Now here's someone who is interested in the Navy. Severin wants to join the Navy and see action on the high seas. We are going to miss you when you leave, Severin, but we know youyll remember all your BHS friends. Keep those words in your heart always, Severin. DONOVAN, MARY FRANCES Mary can be spotted in a crowd because of her black hair and good vocal cords. Her future plans include a pre-college education at Lamar and then she plans to go to the University of Southern Cali- fornia. Good luck, Mary Frances, it's been fun! DOWDEN, GROVER Dark-haired, friendly and shy-that most surely is Grover. His grin comes slowly, but-what a grin! He's fun to have around, and his friends will all tell you he's one pretty wonderful guy. We think so, too. So, may all your dreams come true, Grover, and soon, too! DYER, HAZEL Here's a wizard for you. Hazel is a whiz in shorthand and can take dictation at any rate. She plans on going to a business college and taking up stenography. EHRHART, J OANN Jobey will study at Lamar for two years, then finish her education at the Texas Lutheran College in Seguin. Interior decorating will be her line of work, and we know she's bound to be a success. All the happiness in the world, Jo. ELLISON, OCTAVIA A sweet girl, with a quiet way, she's won a place in our hearts. She knows a lot, but just doesn't say much about it. She'll study to be a missionary, with South America as her choice for a place to do her work. May you find success and satisfaction in your work, Octavia. ESTES, BETTY JO A contagious smile, a sweet disposition, and a diligent mind make Betty something special in our list. She'll study business courses at Lamar, and we bet she'll be a whiz. EWALD, PAULINE Live, laugh, and have fun is Pauline's motto, and she cer- tainly follows it. Everything is fun to her, so, of course, she enjoys life thoroughly-an ability which many envy her. And it's just what she needs for the strenuous future she plans: college and then a life of working.

Just combine ,athletics with study, the serious with the humorous, and mix them ifogether well. Stir in one pinch of president of the student body ind that's John. No one can possibly doubt that he'll be more than - I .uccessful. of GARDNER, JOHN And here we have still another of the Silent Brigade. John is 1 serious student and he needs to be, too. He wants to study medicine ind specialize in bone surgery. Orchids to you, John, that's a wonder- ul future to look forward to. GARTEN, PAT in Pat's one year with us is proof enough that she's somebody --oretty special. She's a very lovely girl who wears those terribly smart :lothes and that very exotic jewelry. She plans to be a stenographer, and we know she will succeed because she has all the essentials that go into the making if a competent and lovely stenographer. ,df GOINES, LAVELVA Q59 Lavelva is the short girl with the dark hair and the friendly iefzmile. You've seen her-quiet and almost shy at times. She's gen- erosity itself, and her heart is as warm and friendly as her grin.
