PRESENTATION During our journey through Beaufort High, we have undertaken and completed many worth-while projects which have brought joy and praise to us. Needless to say, our annual, the largest and most important of our projects, has entailed much thought and hard work. We have burned the midnight oil under great stress and strain, but we have burned it willingly and conscientiously. This, the twelfth edition of the Mainsail, is the consumation of our efforts. It is our sincere hope that it will hold fond memories of your high school days. It is with great joy and humble pride that we, the seniors of B.H.S. present to you the 1961 Mainsail. 2

She has endeavored tirelessly to instill in us purpose, character, humility, and other rudiments necessary for success. She has unselfishly given to us the benefits of her knowledge and experience, of subjects related to our social and economic growth as well as our basic education.
