HASTINGS Hastings Tigers ended the six game win streak for Beatrice by stopping them 25-19 in the Mid-East Conference Championship battle. The Orangemen led Hastings for two quarters but the classy Tigers came back to win in the second half. BEATRICE VS. CRETE Beatrice closed their 1954 gridiron season with a Twin Rivers Conference win over Crete, 26-14. The game went slowly with the scoring alter- nating throughout the game, Beatrice took the lead and kept it. This win put Beatrice in a tie with Falls City for the TWIN RIVERS CONFERENCE.
