Two brand new administrators helped B.H,S. usher in the new school year. Dr. William Staerkel was chosen by the School Board to head the school system as Superin- tendent. Occupying a great deal of Dr.Staerkel's time was the elemen- tary school bond issue giving Bea- trice four new elementary schools. The new Senior High Principal is Dr. A. L. McPherran. We can be proud of the fact that our High School is the only one in the state whose principal holds a Doctorate. Miss Dorothy Beatty returned for her second year as head of the Guidance Department.
