BEI-IRDSTUWN IIIEII SIIHUIIL HUMEEUMING Co-Captain BIIKE MULKEY crowns Fnixisczss QUEEN of the Homecoming. HOMECOMING got off to a good start this year with the crowning of the Queen in an assembly preceding the parade. Immediately following the coronation the cheerleaders led a rousing pep assembly. Our interest then turned to the parking lot where the parade was forming. All the classes and many of the clubs had spent hours in making their floats which each hoped would win a prize. The band, followed by the Queen and her court, led the parade down State Street which was lined with people. The floats and decorated cars followed and a cheering block brought up the rear. The Home- coming was a huge success except for the game which was lost to Pittsfield 26-14. The boys played an excellent game, but couldn't keep up with the raging Saukee Indians. The Yachtman furnished the music for this memorable occasion. Midway through the dance, the spotlight moved to the door of the gymnasium as the Queen and her attendants, with their escorts, entered and proceeded to the east end of the gymnasium. The royal party then started a progressive dance.
