With fifty teaching stations and more than sixty teachers, the school provides adequate facilities for a broad range of subject matter. Language and science labs, business equipment, music practice rooms, and club activity rooms are some of the offerings of the new BHS. Spacious areas such as the student malls and lounge provide places for conversation or for finishing that last bit of homework. The auditorium, first used for a dedication ceremony on October 16, and the green-carpeted library are attractive as well as practical. The athletic facilities are another outstanding asset. Much gratitude goes to those who made this possible. 5 yjcooom jQt o( (Z Ack. The Staff The first half of the year is the busiest time for the annual staff. Since yearbooks are distributed before school is out, the final deadline comes before the end of February. All pictures must be taken and all pages must be drawn before this time. Besides making the book itself, the staff must sell ads, for the cost of each book is more than students pay. Responsible for advertising are Susan Landis and Emily Hudson. Just as important is the selling of the yearbook, quite a feat without an intercom. Jane Gibbs and Carol Chaffin, circulation managers, must keep a record of every book sold. Adding a creative touch to the annual, Linda Kocur acts as art editor. In charge of the athletics section, an important part of the yearbook, are Doug Lesher and Lindsey Craver, sports editors. The editor, Pat Cole, is responsible for keeping work running smoothly and meeting all deadlines. 64 Nancy Whitehead, the assistant editor, has responsibilities for pages and advertisements as do the other staff members, while preparing to manage the annual next year. Mrs. Lowry and Mrs. Morton, our advisers, keep the staff hard at work. Emily Hudson and Susan Landis Our advisers arc Mrs. Lowry and Mrs. Morton. Lindsey Craver and Doug Lesher are sports editors. We appreciate the understanding of Mr. Turner and the teachers, who willingly gave class time for yearbook activities. Also, we thank the students, without whose patronage it would have been impossible to assemble and publish the ECHO. Finally, we wish to express our gratitude to Mr. Graham and his photographers, who always managed to produce pictures at curcial times. 184 I °M) C C o 0 hv4 aat - 'tJa 3t % - ytA 5 Jf, ch V L.
