The weekends usually start out with a football or soccer game and then the usu- al, Let's go to the Complex and decide what's going on. The anxious anticipa- tion ofthe weekends goes from the Friday and Saturday night excitement to the Sunday night blues. Favorite places to go were parties, Scoundrels, athletic events, and any other type of social gathering. Other enjoyable Fi w bw. activities for die-hard students was curl- v ing up with a good book and enjoying the weekend free time. For those who enjoy what nature has to offer them, camping in the mountains was a good way to get away. Working, for some people, was the number one priority on the weekends. Most importantly, the best part of the weekends was sharing the fun with my closest friends, stated J.J. Meuller. Nita Smith poses as a professional Cheerleader! ST THE RIGHT. . . EXCURSIONS School Trips chool trips have always been an im- portant part of the school year for sev- eral different reasons. I went on the Boston trip to get out of a few days of school, Senior Garret Pride conveyed. Anne Pettijohn believed that, taking trips outside of home states broaden horizons and serve as a good experience to see other parts of the country. Last summer Chorale represented the State of Colorado in Philadelphia for the 200th Anniversary of the signing of the Con- stitution. It was quite an honor to have represented the State of Colorado and to have participated in such an important event as the Anniversary of the signing of the Con- stitution, Jody Randall expressed. Chorale was chosen to go to Philadelphia because of their continuous high ratings at contests ev- ery year. I had a wonderful time meeting new people, singing, and visiting all the places which were such a big part of our American History. We all felt a lot of patrio- tism inside of us! proudly stated Cary Cur- ran. Another fantastic excursion was the Bos- ton trip. Many juniors and seniors gathered together for a journey to Boston. It was the most fun I've ever had! exclaimed Teri Had- dad. They had a non-stop adventurous six days. Not only was the trip fun, but it was educational also. I learned the most that I've ever learned in just six days. Jacqui Pegg stated. Everyone who went to Boston agreed that it was a wonderful trip. Students had a chance to visit another part of our nation and they enjoyed every minute of it. The trips to Philadelphia and Boston both turned out as successes. Its trips like these that add to our cultural experience and bring about friendships that can last a life- time, Charla Mason concluded. Friends made the trip even better. states Amy Weathersby.
