CLASS HISTORY In the fall of 194-Z eight shy freshmen entered the Bearnan High School. Of these eight only two, Virginia Simms, and Donna Lynch, attended Beaman all twelve years. Arlene Boll joined the class in the sixth grade, and Myrta Neidermann had been with the class since the seventh grade and she left durinsz the second semester of the fre- shmen year. Those coming in from rural schools were Marlin Moeller, john Kitzman and Jeanne Osborn. Bette Hutzel came from Eldora. jack Menefee entered about the middle of the Freshman year and left a few weeks later. The teachers during our first year were Mr. Paul Johnson, Mr. LaVerne Carney, Mrs. Edra Carnpbell, and Miss Marion Heyer. During our Sophomore year Ruth Everding entered our class. In March of that year we were saddened by the death of Arlene Boll. Teachers during this year w- ere Mr. johnson, Mr. Carney, Mrs Ilene Myers, and Mrs. Marion Miller. During the Junior year three new members were added. They were: Dick Amund- SDH. VerY1Ha1nrnond, and Avis Inman. Dick and Avis left during March of that year. Marlin Moeller also left our class to attend school at Gladbrook. Important eventsof that year were the junior-Senior Banquet and our Junior class play, A Ready Made Family. The faculty for our junior year was Mr. Johnson, Mr. Carney, Mrs. Myers, and Mrs. Veva Stevens. The class membership remained the same during bur senior year. Our faculty consisted of Mr. johnson, Mr. Carney, Mrs. Stevens and Mrs. Edythe Heifner during the first semester. Mrs. Myers replaced Mrs. I-Ieifner after the first semester. Major events during our last year were the junior-Senior Banquet, the class play, Leave To Marry, Baccalaureate, Commencement, and putting out the sixth ann- ual of Bearnan High.

W4 - CLASS WILL We, the undersigned members of the class of 1946, Bearnan Hi- gh School, being of sound mind and memory, do hereby make the f- ollowing bequeaths as our last will and testament: I, john Kitzman, do hereby will and bequeath my ability to get along with Mr. Carney to jo Ann Simms and hope she does a better job than I did. I, Veryl Hammond, do hereby will and bequeath my ability to l- oaf while working on the school paper to Kenneth Barfels. I, Jeanne Osborn, do hereby will and bequeath all my Gladbrook boyfriends to Ardis Walter. I, Bette Hutzel, do hereby will and bequeath my ability to talk and yet not say anything to Max Miller knowing how timid and qu- iet he is. I, Virginia Simms, do hereby will and bequeath to Bob Myers, all the candy and guxn wrappers, and waste paper in my desk since he was the one that put it there. I, Donna Lynch, do hereby will and bequeath all my excellent grades in Physics to Anabel Clinite and hope she doesn't do as bad as I did. We, the Senior Class, do hereby will and bequeath our ability to get through school to the Freshmen class: our excellent grades to the Sophomores: and the task of putting out the annual and the school paper to the juniors. And to the teachers all' the sweet memories of the class of 1946.
