Seniors Visit l as , ii Manhattan , as seen from the 86th story of the Em- pire State Building. The long line waiting for tickets outside Radio City Music Hall, the largest indoor theater in the world. Typical of the long bus trip to New York, a sleeping Senior. The flags of the United Nations surround the out- door arena at Rockefeller Plaza. Eight months of selling lightbulbs, candy, and kits finally seemed worthwhile, as 29 excited Seniors departed for New York City on April 26, The all -night bus ride left everyone sleepy-eyed as dawn broke with the Empire State Building silhouetted against the New York skyline. Our first few hours in New York City were filled with the hassel of waiting for hotel rooms, tmpacking, and trying to believe we were finally there. From this point on every Senior has his own special memories of New York City. It could be the 336 exhausting steps to the top of the Statue of Liberty, the view from the Empire State Building , the show at Radio City Music Hall, the fear of the subways, or the magnificence of St. Patrick's Cathedral. Departure time - 9 p.1'1'1. Saturday night - found 29 Seniors spread about the lobby of the Royal Manhattan Hotel - tired, sore, dirty, and not very much looking forward to that long ride home.
