Mellott. 971-772 Blue Devil Band To the cadence of L-R-L-R-L-R the BHS Band had a busy season beginning with the Independence Cele- bration in July and ending with exchange concerts with Skyvue High School in April. ln between was the l-o-n-g Hall of Fame Parade in Canton, Fair appearances, Christmas parades and of course the half-time shows at all the football games. These events gave the band a special part in the Life of the Blue in 72. But to anyone closely associated with the band there are the many memories that go otherwise unrecord- ed - the singing of Li'1 Liza Jane on the band bus, the victory parade downtown after a much wanted win, the hot summer rehearsals, and the command- ing voice of Mr. Nuss yelling Get in step, lift those knees, and keep those ranks straight! But along with all these good and bad times comes the pride of being a member of the Blue Devil Band. H-e -l -l-o-o-o-o down there!
