ln 1868. a group of c'ix'ie-inindecl eitizens de- cided that Frosthurg needed a puhlir school. Mr. Nelson Beall donated a large plot of ground to further the niovement. and less than two years later. in l87Il. an eight-room frame building open- ed its doors to public- education. lleall soon outgrew this original strurture. In l89fl. the cornerstone for a new hrivk huilding was laid. and a new wing added in 1908. ln l92l. a new auditoriuni-gytnnasiuni was completed.
