“Bah, humbug! cried Ebenezer and went to bed. He immediately fell into a deep sleep. As the clock struck one, Ebenezer awoke with a start. He saw a tall, well-built young man standing at the foot of his bed. His hair was in the style of a crewcut and he wore a white shirt, jeans with large cuffs, thick white socks and loafers. What most impresssed Ebenezer was the old fashioned letter sweater the boy wore.

And as for your day off tomorrow, Bobo, Bah, humbug! When Ebenezer went home that night, some very strange things happened. His door knocker, usually a sober-looking lion, transformed into a bulldog before his eyes. When he turned on the radio, the only song he could get in was Hail to Beacon . When he turned on the T.V., everyone seemed to be wearing blue and gold outfits. Whatever he did, wherever he went, something reminded him of Beacon High School. 6

Ebenezer knew his letter sweaters and that style hadn't been made for years. It was blue and gold with a large gold B sewed on the pocket. Then the boy spoke. I am the ghost of BHS past, he said. Touch the corner of my letter sweater and we will fly through the past together. Ebenezer wanted to say Bah, humbug! , but he was so frightened that nothing came out. He touched the ghost's sweater and away they went.
